To hunt foxes, deer, or wild boars in SAELIG you need a bow and a keen eye.
TIPS
If you're keen to play as a hunter you can select the Hunter start when you select your map. You will start in the wilderness with a bow, so you can start hunting straight away.
You can hold the DEL key to highlight animals in front of trees.
Animals will respawn after a day or two, however the animal you just killed will not necessarily be replaced by an animal of the same type.
AI will also hunt animals in their spare time.
Animals will attempt to flee when approached or shot at. Hitting the animal is more difficult when it is running.
FOXES
Foxes are often found in small family groups. When processed they will give you a hide and a small carcass. It is possible to gain a pet fox while hunting.
DEER
Deer can be found in family groups, but you will often find them on their own as well. When processed they will give you a hide and a carcass.
WILD BOARS
Wild Boars are usually found on their own deep in the forest. When processed they will give you a hide and a carcass.
HOME KILL
It is possible to process carcasses and hides at home as long as you have the appropriate upgrades. Butcher tables will allow you to create meat, and tanning racks will allow you to create leather.
